cool thing of the week/and last

i know it's only monday, but i bought this awesome wallet/clutch type thing from the anthropology museum on campus. the museum sells handmade, fair trade goods from all over the world. i was deciding between the clutch and a really cool necklace from Kenya, but i remembered i barely wear jewelry so the clutch it was:

it's so great...and i thought

it was perfect for the summer

i discovered these chips last week (so i guess they would be cool thing of last week) and they're SOOOO good! definitely my favorite sunchips flavor. i love the tangy kick they have

yes that is my horrible looking veiny food

had such a nice visit with my grandma, mom and little brother....i love that little guy so so much. he'll be 10 on thursday i can't believe it!

my room looks so bare without all the stuff and clothes they took back home with them. i'm so happy.

my poor suitemate...i've been singing at the top of my lungs lately...and i know i sound bad.

i had more to say earlier...oh wells probably for the best, tonight i have to read the last 5 chapters of my capstone book and write a short paper on each chapter all due tomorrow morning. it's my own fault i did absolutely no schoolwork shit this weekend.

but i think i'll watch will forte's women herstory month song video again lol

then of course she texted me again an hour later and it scared the bajeebies out of me, because my room was so quiet. we'll see how long it takes for me to get tired of it lol.

sidenote: it's not sad that i basically have my whole wedding planned is it? all i need is a groom i guess

this man is a comedic genius! he's the main reason i even attempt to watch the original office series....i just haven't quite gotten used to british humor...or i've gotten too used to our american version. regardless he's so freaking funny and i love love his podcast.

in other news:

trying to avoid talking ex lovah's ear off...i really really want to talk to him. BUT i'm going to be good.

maybe i'll start on my capstone paper..which is what i was supposed to be doing in the first place.

but basically it's streaming readings of the Qur'an!! it's awesome!

I've always found Arabic a beautiful language both written and spoken

(thanks to my art history teachers who played Islamic calls to prayer during class)

I love that the Qur'an is recited as almost like a song...they don't just SAY it..it's sung.

the calls to prayer are definitely my favorite...they sound so beautiful.

so yea that's the cool thing of the week...and what happens when a person tries to cut down

her tv time in order to get more studying done...lord help me.
